Imagine...

creating an object out of fine silver, from start to finish in just a few hours. Something you can treasure and wear for years to come! Come join me for an enjoyable workshop where you start with enthusiasm, and leave with a beautiful piece of jewelry you created yourself! Welcome to the world of PMC.
What is it you ask? It stands for Precious Metal Clay and is a relatively new material invented by the Mitsubishi Materials Corp. in the early 1990's. It is a precious metal combined with a rice binder. When PMC is fired the binder burns off and you are left with .999 pure silver. This is a wonderful new medium, and allows both experienced and inexperienced individuals to create fine silver jewelry.
Precious Metal Clay offers that same since of freedom to create that is reminiscent of the play dough we all loved as children! Come experience that feeling again, when your imagination knew no limits! I am certified as a qualified artisan working with Precious Metal Clay.

INTRODUCTION TO PMC
Learn how to transform precious metal clay into fine silver jewelry of your own design. Through a series of demonstrations and hands-on projects, this workshop introduces you to all the different types of PMC (clay, paper, paste and syringe). Class includes instruction for forming, texturizing, refining, finishing and adding color with patina.
The workshop cost will be $110.00 per student. Cost includes 1-package of PMC, firing and use of all workshop supplies. Students are not required to bring supplies or tools to class unless you so choose. Handouts on all projects are provided. Additional clay, toolkits, and firing services are available if students choose to do additional projects outside the class. There is a minimum of three students and a maximum of six students per class in my home studio. If you have a larger group and can provide the facility, arrangements can be made.
